School/Graduation/CRT/and more!
So according to Tumblr, I’ve dropped off of the face of the earth… Facebook may even say the same since I’ve had only one update in over a week. Here is what’s going on. Over the last two weeks I’ve had finals, a big interview, graduation (Respiratory Therapy School), and the CRT. Once you are done with RT school, you have to take and pass 3 tests, the CRT (certified respiratory therapist), the RRT (registry test), and the Simulation portion of the RRT. I took the CRT on Wednesday and passed! So now I’m preparing for the RRT and working full time. I hope to be done with these tests soon enough because I have an out of town wedding, a new job, and a much needed vacation coming up. Perhaps I will listen to some new music in that time and as soon as I do, I’ll post it here.
1995
This is the year of the CD for me. My first CD player for Christmas, and therefore my first CD - Frogstomp by Silverchair. I still have this CD, but it doesn’t play anymore…. I overused and abused it. Frogstomp closed the gap from Alternative to hard Rock for me. My older sister got the Presidents Cd, at first we only listened to Kitty and Lump… I’m proud to say that I know the words to all songs on the CD and still listen to it today.

Music:
- Tomorrow - Silverchair
- Bullet With Butterfly Wings - Smashing Pumpkins
- Self Esteem - Offspring
- Entire Album - The Presidents of The United States of America
Movies:
- Se7en
- Desperado (thanks Salma)
- Jumanji
- Toy Story
1994 - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
The movies started to become more action-based and the music became more geared towards rock/alternative. The greatest movie of all time, Forrest Gump, made me think about the man I wanted to be… it was probably the first time I secretly wanted to go defend my country and my family in battle (even though few have known that about me). This song by the Crash Test Dummies is probably the only song of theirs I’ve heard, but I still know every word.

Music:
- Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm - Crash Test Dummies
- Zombie - The Cranberries
- Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden
Movies:
- Forrest Gump
- Dumb and Dumber
- Iron Will
- Speed
1993
Rap/Hip-Hop became ever-more present in my life, when I look back at it, it seems like I was into anything that would pump me up and had a good beat. I can still recite the lyrics to 3 of the 4 songs below. I’m not sure ANYONE could even tell what the Canadian-reggae-rapper “Snow” was saying in the song Informer, but it sure was a good popular song… I think…

Music:
- Jump Around - House of Pain
- What’s Up - 4 Non-Blondes
- Informer - Snow
- Shoop - Salt ‘N’ Pepa
Movies:
- Jurassic Park
- Mrs. Doubtfire
- Last Action Hero
- Sandlot
